Putting action to leadership is a vital component of Leadership South Carolina. Since 2005, class projects have donated more than $800,000 to communities in need.
Each class challenges itself to reach 100% participation, direct remaining funds toward a scholarship for the following year’s class, and continue serving through the LSC Alumni Association.

SUBMIT RFP FOR CLASS PROJECT
Calling all non-profits.
Leadership South Carolina (LSC) invites community organizations and agencies to submit proposals for community service projects to be completed by the upcoming
LSC Class of 2027.
Application Deadline:
Friday, July 10, 2026
Project Timeline:
September 2026 - April 2027
Review Process:
Proposals will be evaluated to ensure all necessary information is provided for decision-making. Organizations may be contacted for clarification or additional details if needed. All approved proposals will be presented to the class during their orientation call.
Project Notifications:
September 2, 2026 - Notifications will be sent to representatives of selected proposal inviting them to present their project to the class during the Septmeber session in Columbia.
Key Considerations for Success:

Clear Objective: Define a goal that can realistically be achieved within 6-9 months, while allowing flexibility for adjustments.

Adaptability: Deliverables may evolve during the process; open communication will help clarify the path forward.

Strategic Impact: Ensure the project supports your organization's mission and long-term success.

Limited Fundraising: While fundraising may be included, projects should not rely solely on it, and LSC team members will not serve as development staff.
Tips for a Strong Proposal:

Create Impact: Benefit your organization, the stakeholders or clients you serve, and the broader community. (Statewide impact preferrable but not required)

Offer Hands-On Engagement: Provide the LSC project team with opportunities to actively participate and grow through meaningful experiences.

Foster Connections: Enable team members to meet new people, experience new environments, and develop project management skills.
