Social issues and Healthcare Session

Greenwood, SC — January 19, 20, 21, 2022

 

Welcome to January 2022! A new year with new goals, new expectations, and new things to learn.

It’s also a time to experience new places and expand our way of thinking in our state. This month we travel to Greenwood to see how this community takes care of their children, vulnerable adults, and at-risk populations. We’ll visit historic sites, learn more about disparity in healthcare and see how Greenwood cares for families in crisis. Plus, we’ll learn how their community with the help of Self Healthcare System keeps everyone in the surrounding communities healthy.

We also take a look into the future of cancer research at the Genetic Center to see how bio-technology is accelerating the treating and elimination of diseases.

Can’t wait for you to see that Greenwood is a special place that preserves its history while preparing its future with innovative projects.
