Legislative Day 2022

Members of the Leadership South Classes of 2020, 2021 and 2022 gathered at the State House April 21 for Leadership’s Legislative Day. While the event is usually held annually, it was canceled during the past two years because of the Covid pandemic. Leadership graduates had a chance to meet with Gov. Henry McMaster, state lawmakers and other elected state officials, including Superintendent of Education Mollie Spearman. Graduates were also recognized during sessions of both the House and the Senate. Twenty-two members of the General Assembly are Leadership South Carolina graduates. Thirty percent of Leadership South Carolina graduates hold appointed or elective state, county, or municipal offices or positions on school boards.
