Dare Bailey is counsel for litigation at the South Carolina Department of Revenue. A graduate of the University of South Carolina with a degree in political science, Dare, a native of Johnsonville, received her law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law.
Previously she served as a senior consultant and policy director for Maximus working with governments and contractors on issues dealing with the federal Affordable Care Act. She also worked as a staff attorney for the South Carolina Court of Appeals, the state’s second-highest court.
She is active in the South Carolina Women Lawyers Association and has served on the South Carolina Bar Ethics Advisory, Judicial Qualifications, and Professional Responsibility committees. She is a graduate of the Leadership Lackawanna Executive Program and is active with the EdVenture Museum in Columbia, the Columbia Museum of Art and neighborhood associations.
