Brooke Bailey

Overview

Brooke Bailey is the deputy communications director at the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. She has over 15 years' experience developing and implementing marketing and public relations strategies for both for profit and nonprofit organizations.

She is actively involved in her community and has served on several boards and committees including The Cooperative Ministry board, First Tee Columbia, Healthy Learners Marketing/PR Committee, COR board and Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce board.

She chaired the Leadership Columbia advisory board, serves as second vice president on the University of South Carolina Richland/Lexington Alumni board and is a member of Junior League of Columbia. Brooke is the 2005 Wild Dunes Resort Associate of the Year, 2007 Southeastern Council of Foundations Hull Fellow, a graduate of the 2009-10 class of Leadership Columbia and a 2016 Leadership South Carolina graduate.

Brooke holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of South Carolina and a Master of Business Administration from Southern Wesleyan University. Before joining SCDHHS, she served as senior director of communications at the Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina.
