
Bennett Gore is director of the Veterans Legal Clinic at the University of South Carolina School of Law. The clinic offers free services to indigent veterans statewide on legal issues ranging from financial matters and housing to government benefits and family law. There are an estimated 400,000 veterans in South Carolina.
Bennett helped start the clinic, teaches classes pertaining to veteran’s issues at the law school and manages student practice attorneys who assist at the clinic. He earned a bachelor’s degree in government from Wofford College and a law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law. He earned an MBA from The University of South Carolina as well.
Bennett served on active duty with the Army for nearly a decade and now serves in the Army National Guard. While in the Army he served in Judge Advocate General Corps positions at posts around the world. Prior to his current job he was a private practice attorney with Bluestein Attorneys in Columbia.
